Just updating on what the neuro had to say.
He thinks what happened is I was on Cipro for a kidney infection, and somehow the mitral valve and the Cipro broke loose a small blood clot. The first thing he said to me was: Don't ever take Cipro again.
I still have blood work to get done, and have to see the neuro again in April, but things are okay.
Could it happen again - yes. Am I going to spend my life worrying about it - nope.
I will say though, my foot fell asleep the other night, and I momentarily panicked...

So you're actually following Doctor's orders, taking your medicine, and wham! The medicine gets you! That doesn't seem fair, does it?
ReplyDeleteI know - what the heck, right?? I talked with a friend of mine who works in billing at the hospital - she says my hospital adventure is well over $75,000, following doctor's orders is an expensive proposition...
ReplyDeleteWow - can you feel the insurance company wincing?
